What is Radon?


  • Radon is a naturally occurring, radioactive gas that forms from the decay of uranium in soil and rocks.
  • It's odorless, colorless, and tasteless, making it difficult to detect without specialized equipment.
  • When radon seeps into a home through cracks in the foundation or other openings, it can accumulate and pose a health risk. 
  • Tennessee has reported high levels of Radon.

Why is Radon Testing Important?


  • Exposure to high levels of radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. 
  • Testing is the only way to know if your home has elevated radon levels with potential to contribute to respiratory issues and other health concerns. 
  • If high levels are detected, measures can be taken to reduce them, protecting the health of occupant
